Introduction

In this lesson, you will create a short, three-placemark Google Earth tour. You will choose three locations in the world that you have visited and create a multimedia tour that includes text, images, and embedded video. You will also cite your sources within each placemark. Once completed, you will save your tour as a .kml file.

Basic Steps

Determine three places in the world you have visited.
Create and name a folder in My Places in Google Earth.
Locate and placemark the three places in Google Earth, under the folder you created.
For each placemark, write a short 2-3 sentence description of the place you visited, why you visited, and why it is a significant place for you.
For each placemark, link to an image or embed a video that showcases the place. Note: Your tour needs to include at least one image and at least one embedded video.
Cite ALL your sources for information, photos, and video.
Save your tour to a file and post according to teacher instructions.
